We started WALLKIN because we believe art belongs in everyday life — not just in galleries. Local artists deserve audiences, and local businesses deserve beautiful spaces.
Our story
WALLKIN grew from a simple conversation between a café owner with bare walls and a local artist with no place to show her work. They made it happen on their own — but they asked: how many other people out there are in the same position, just lacking the connection?
The answer, it turns out, is thousands. Independent artists all over Australia are producing incredible work with limited access to affordable exhibition space. And thousands of small businesses — cafés, bookshops, yoga studios, hair salons — have walls that could be so much more.
WALLKIN exists to make that connection — at no cost to anyone, ever. We're funded by people who believe in the mission, not by commissions or fees.
